Hand the conversation to your AI agent

Some shopper questions don't fit a script. "Do these run small?" "Can I still get it by Friday?" "Which one's better for a gift?" You can't pre-write every branch of that conversation into a flow, and you shouldn't have to.

That's what the new Agent step is for. Drop it into a flow, and once a shopper replies, OneText's most capable AI agent picks up the conversation and runs with it, working toward whatever you told it to do.

Simpler flows that can go anywhere

Building a flow used to mean mapping out every path a shopper might take. A branch for yes, a branch for no, a branch for the question you didn't see coming.

The Agent step replaces most of that with one simple shape. Send an opener with a message step, invite a reply, and let the agent handle whatever comes back. The conversation can go in any direction, and you never had to draw each one. You still see exactly what that opener looks like as you write it, then the agent takes over.

A flow that sends a welcome text, waits for a reply, then hands the conversation to the Agent step

Your agent could already field replies on its own. What's new is that you can place it deliberately, right in the flow, and tell it what you want out of the conversation.

Give it a goal

The Agent step asks you for one thing. A goal, in plain language. No rules to wire up, no decision tree to draw. You describe what a good outcome looks like, the way you'd brief a new sales associate.

The Agent step's single field, a goal written in plain language

Point it wherever your business needs. "Recover this cart and answer any sizing questions." "Upsell the matching accessories." "Steer them toward the new fall collection." The agent reads what the shopper actually said, keeps the reply natural, and works toward the goal you set. It's the same agent behind OneText's smartest conversations, now aimed at the exact job you have in mind.

Turn replies into checkouts

This is where it pays off. Once a shopper is chatting, the agent can carry them all the way to a purchase. For customers with a card on file, that's text-to-buy: they confirm and check out in a tap, right in the conversation, without ever leaving their messages. A friendly back-and-forth becomes a sale, and every engaged reply is a chance to move someone from "just looking" to "bought."

You'll find the Agent step in the flow editor, ready to add after any message reply. Open a flow, write your opener, and hand the rest to your agent.
